Humans’ hunger for more seems unending: Cities grow and with them the need to feed ever more urban dwellers. Foodmiles are the measurement of a global food market, in which lettuce might have travelled around 3000 km from Spain before it ended up in Sweden.

Crazy enough? Crazy enough, says agritecture and turns everything topsy-turvy by relocating food production to the metropolises of the 21st century. You got curious?
