Your idea can impact and benefit society!
You now have the opportunity, through SLU Holding, to apply for a grant from Vinnova’s validation programme Validation for Growth (VFT). The funds are intended primarily to give those of you working at SLU the opportunity to develop and validate innovative ideas and research findings. The funding is intended to be used for activities such as market analyses, developing prototypes, patent applications, building teams, business trips to meet industry partners, to mention just a few examples.
VFT has been created to minimise various types of risk at the early stages so as to strengthen the possibility of successful commercialisation or other societal benefits. The idea is to streamline the process of translating knowledge from universities into products or services for the benefit of society.
You can get funding for activities such as the following:
- Analysis of customer needs
- Verification of production method
- Analysis of regulatory and legal requirements
- Technical verification for the purpose of minimising project risks
- Patents and/or trademark protection
- Shareholders’ agreements
These funds must not be used for further research, technology and product development or to purchase equipment.
Applications are processed on an ongoing basis and are approved in consultation with an innovation and business advisor from SLU Holding.
